According to unofficial data, approximately 17,000 tonnes of herbs are exported per year. More than 90% of the annual production of herbs - wild and cultivated - is exported to Italy, Germany, France, China, India, Canada, Japan, South Korea and the United States. The exported dried herbs are used for the development of food supplements, teas, extracts, cosmetics or medicines.
